2021 Reformation Lecture

November 5, 2021 @ 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm

The Reformation of 1857: The Split of the Christian Reformed Church (CRC) from the Reformed Church of America (RCA)

The year 1857 is a significant event for many Christians in our community, whether they realize it or not. The year 1857 marks the split of the Christian Reformed Church from the Reformed Church in America. Are you a member of the CRC? Are you a member of the RCA? Are you simply an individual interested in the history of the Reformed churches? This presentation will study the background to the split of the CRC from the RCA, and the split itself. What were the doctrinal issues? Are those doctrinal issues still relevant today? Are there any lessons we can learn from a study of this history?

Our pastor, Rev. Erik Guichelaar, will be the speaker.  Randolph Protestant Reformed Church cordially invites you to a Reformation Day Presentation on Friday evening, November 5, at 7:30 PM at the Randolph Protestant Reformed Church. Refreshments will be served after the presentation.

Hosted by the Randolph Protestant Reformed Church Evangelism Committee
